The icy glow that emanates from this cylindrical jadeite carving perfectly captures the beauty of highly translucent natural jadeite. This classic jade carving is a round and cylindrical barrel shape with a hollow centre. Because of its high translucency and pristine white colour, the jadeite barrel displays a dewy appearance with a glow that is easily visible even in dimmer indoor lighting conditions.
Carved from a cylindrical jadeite rough, this jadeite barrel wears with a more weighted feel due to its thicker sides. The entire jadeite barrel is highly translucent with no visible dark inclusions. To retain as much of the exquisite icy jadeite material, the centre is bored through with a hole big enough to accommodate gold chains in most sizes, less broader gold necklaces. This jadeite pendant can also be worn with a simple black woven string, as shown in the photos.
