This pair of natural jadeite earrings features 2 highly translucent jadeites smoothly carved in elliptical shapes. The jadeite pair is set in 18K white gold with a dangling design that highlights the translucency of the natural jadeite. The translucency is especially beautiful given the monochromatic appearance of the jadeite pieces.
In both jadeite carvings, the colourless and icy jadeite has inky black swirls forming unique patterns. The inky black swirls call to mind artistic sumi-e or black ink paintings popular in Japanese art. Worn as dangling earrings, these swirls have a 3-dimensional appearance because of the thickness of the jadeite pair and are incredibly aesthetic and elegant.
