These jadeite bracelets are made with Type A jadeite beads that have a black hue with white patches that cover the entire bracelets giving them a lighter black with grey colour hue. All of the beads in these bracelets are carved from a single raw jadeite block which give a uniformity of colour and quality to the bracelets. The jade beads are very similar to NJBA029 and differ only in size.
The "pixiu" carving strung together with the jade beads is made of 24K gold. 24K or 24 Karat gold is the purest form of gold and is typically found as 99.9 per cent pure gold. Pure gold has a bright yellow colour. The "pixiu" carving is intricate and has a matte surface for its body with polished accents on several locations such as the Chinese word 财 which is carved on the belly of the "pixiu". The word 财 translates to wealth and riches and it is aptly carved on the mythical creature's belly, signifying the wealth consumed or accumulated by the creature. The "pixiu" or 貔貅 is a creature regarded in Chinese mythology as an auspicious symbol, for its ability in bringing in wealth to its owner and warding off bad luck.
