This dainty jadeite ring features a "Toi et Moi" or open ring design with a glassy jadeite carving on one end and a natural diamond on the other end. The glassy jadeite is intricately carved as a Hu Lu or 葫芦 in Chinese. Although dainty in size, this jadeite has a good thickness which is carved beautifully into the 2 rounded domes that distinguish the Hu Lu carving. The thickness and the high translucency of the jadeite carving give the glassy jadeite its eye-catching shimmery glow.
Set in 18K rose gold with a matte finish, the gold band on this dainty jadeite ring is lightly carved in the shape of bamboo stems. In traditional Chinese culture, bamboo carvings symbolise "a steady rise to eminence", especially in career aspects or 节节高 in Chinese. This adds to the auspicious meaning of the jadeite Hu Lu 葫芦 carving, representing health and prosperity.
