This is a green jadeite pendant carved in a classic barrel shape. This "barrel" shape is commonly referred to as the 路路通 carving or Lu Lu Tong. Symbolically, this carving, with its hollow barrel shape, signifies a clear and unblocked path devoid of obstacles. The Chinese words 路路通 also directly translate to unobstructed paths, at every turn.
This natural jadeite "barrel" has a bright green colour that streaks across the body of the jadeite carving. The position of the bright green streak is interesting as it passes through the centre of the jadeite, along a plane, allowing the beautiful green to be seen on both sides of the barrel.
The body colour of the jadeite pendant is almost completely white with light hints of green that blends into the bright streaks of green. The Type A jadeite has a glowing polished finish and is completely clean without any dark spots.
