Barrel shaped carvings in jadeite are typically known as Lu Lu Tong carvings or 路路通 in Chinese. The hollow barrel shape symbolises a clear path in any pursuit, without any blockages. Directly translated, the words 路路通 mean clear paths, at every turn.
This jadeite pendant features such a carving with a modern design. The jadeite barrel is carved as a hollowed barrel but with flat sides. Each end of the jadeite barrel is framed in 18K yellow gold crafted into delicate motifs. A decoration touch, this also protects the jadeite material from any accidental bumps. The jadeite material carries a beautiful pattern of vivid to dark green hues. The crystal aggregate structure in this jadeite barrel is fine and dense. The high polish, as a result, is very smooth to touch and comfortable to wear as a pendant.
