Comprising of 103 Type A jadeite beads with diameters slightly graduating from 7.5mm to 6.3mm, at the top of the necklace, this elegant jade necklace measures approximately 78cm or 27inches. A round 14K gold-filled bead finishes this green jade necklace.
Jadeite bead necklaces are very difficult to obtain in fine quality. In crafting round jade beads, a lot of jade material has to be polished off to achieve the spherical shape. Thus, to create a necklace with matching colour hue, translucency and also clarity, a large amount of fine jadeite material is required. Moreover, to be able to match these various qualities in jade, a single jade bead necklace would have to be carved from a single raw jade stone which adds to the rarity of fine jade bead necklaces.
This particular jade bead necklace has a fresh hue of green which is lively with good translucency in all of the jadeite beads. In many of the beads, vivid streaks of green can be observed which add to the beauty of the jade necklace. Clarity of the jadeite beads is exquisite and can be observed in the photos taken.
