This is a Type A jadeite ring with a highly translucent jadeite centrepiece. The design of this jadeite ring centers around the carved jadeite centrepiece with its lightly carved shape of a gourd fruit. The glistening gourd carving is set with a broad 18K white gold band with a delicate motif design.
The motifs that cover the entire surface of the gold band are in the shape of vines, a reference to the climbing tendrils that are characteristic of the gourd plant. Natural diamonds subtly decorate the ends of the white gold tendrils, adding tiny flashes of light to the jadeite ring.
This jadeite centrepiece in this ring is striking in its colour and translucency. Its beautiful hue of pure green is particularly striking because of its high translucency. When the jadeite carving catches the light, it glows with a captivating lustre. The high translucency of the jadeite carving allows light to penetrate completely showcasing the dense crystal structure of the jadeite. Within the clear green jadeite are vivid green specks that add a natural and almost artistic touch to this fine carved jadeite ring.
