This jadeite bracelet is strung with 10 jadeite "lu lu tong" or 路路通carvings. The classic barrel shaped carving has a hollow center which symbolises a clear and unblocked path devoid of obstacles. The Chinese words 路路通 also directly translate to unobstructed paths, at every turn.
The jadeite barrel carvings are a blend of bright and intense greens with pockets of light green, distributed across all of the 10 jadeite barrels. Carved from a single rough, the colours in each carving have a similar hue of green. The surfaces of each jadeite barrel are intricately carved with motifs creating delicate details in the jadeite bracelet.
Between each jadeite barrel is a deep red bead, carved from natural garnet. The round beads are almost black in colour, with subtle hints of red showing when they catch the light. Strung with the bright green jadeite barrels, these beads add a modern touch to the jadeite bracelet with their distinct contrast in colours.
