This pair of carved jadeite earrings features intricate motif carvings that cover the entire surface of the natural jadeites. Carved from Type A jadeite, this pair of jadeite carvings displays a beautiful gradient of green hues which starts with a lighter green hue at the top to more vivid hue of green at the bottom of the jadeite carvings. Designed to be worn as dangling earrings, this gradient of colour saturation is more prominent because light is able to penetrate the translucent jadeite material, allowing the vivid green colour to be displayed impressively.
Intricacy in this pair of carved jadeite earrings can be observed from the fine polish on every single surface of the carvings. Polishing such small surfaces in carvings can only be performed by hand and this in itself, is a good indication of the level of workmanship present. Another detail to note is that both surfaces of the earrings are carved and polished to a high gloss, allowing the translucency of the jadeite material to be elegantly displayed from all angles.
