This is a pair of jadeite double hoops set in a dangling design. The carved jadeite double hoops have a light green hue. This fresh colour coupled with a fine crystal aggregate gives the jade earrings an icy and refreshing vibe. Carved out of a single jadeite rough, this jadeite carving is particularly interesting because both jadeite hoops are separated yet interlocked with each other. Crafting a pair of jadeite double hoops require both intricate skill and a sizeable fine jadeite rough.
The jadeite double hoops are classically set with 18K white gold, encrusted with natural diamonds. The gold ear studs, that the jadeite hoops dangle off, are actually removable from the dangling jadeite pieces. The gold ear studs are designed as a pair of Eternity Knots. In Asian culture, the symbol of the Eternity Knot is connected to long life, harmony, and continuity. In this jade earrings design, the gold Eternity Knots are ear studs that can be worn by themselves (shown in the 3rd photo) or matched with any dangling earrings with a suitable hoop attachment.
