Green & Lavender Jade Ring - Pixiu & Golden Toad (NJR219)
Green & Lavender Jade Ring - Pixiu & Golden Toad (NJR219)
Description
This brightly coloured ring is crafted with 2 vividly coloured jadeite carvings. Both jadeite carvings are intricate and incredibly well crafted.
The bright green jadeite is carved as a Chinese mythical creature, 貔貅, pronounced as "pixiu". This mythical creature is regarded in Chinese mythology as an auspicious symbol, for its ability in bringing in wealth to its owner and warding off bad luck.
The pure lavender jadeite is carved into an abstract shape of a Golden Toad 金蟾, a popular Feng Shui charm for prosperity and wealth. This Golden Toad carving is unique with its single hind leg thus it is also often termed as a three-legged toad.
Set together with both facing outwards, these 2 jadeite carvings display an incredibly bright and vivid contrast of colours. Both jadeite carvings have even colour saturations with good clarity and translucency. Viewed from afar, this Type A jadeite ring is striking in its colour combination and jadeite quality. The intricacy of the jadeite carvings is only noticeable up close, allowing the auspicious symbolism in this jadeite ring to remain subtle and inconspicuous.
Crafted in 18K white gold, this Type A jadeite ring is decorated with natural teardrop and round diamonds for a brightly colour and extra sparkly finish. The main photos are taken in natural lighting. The last 2 additional photos are taken with indoor lighting.
