This is a pair of carved jadeite earrings with a black and white colour hue set in a dangling design. The earring setting makes use of 18K white gold encrusted in natural brilliant diamonds.
Carved from highly translucent Type A jadeite, the white portions of the jadeite earrings have an icy appearance which contrasts beautifully with the natural black streaks spread across the earrings. Fine texture of the jadeite material results in a highly polished surface. Intricacy in this pair of carved jadeite earrings can be observed from the fine polish on every single surface of the carvings. Polishing such small surfaces in carvings can only be performed by hand and this in itself, is a good indication of the level of workmanship present. Another detail to note is that both surfaces of the earrings are carved and polished to a high gloss, allowing the icy jadeite material to be elegantly displayed from all angles.
The main photos are taken in natural lighting and there are 2 additional photos taken with indoor lighting to showcase the jadeite in different types of lighting. This helps to provide a good view of how the jade earrings look under different lighting conditions to provide as accurate a representation as possible of our jade pieces.
