This jadeite necklace comprises of a strand of 58 jadeite beads hand carved from a single jadeite rough. Jadeite bead necklaces are challenging to craft because of the rarity of fine jadeite material in a single jadeite rough. This strand of jadeite beads is highly collectible because of its exquisite quality, made even more so by the beautiful hue of green in every jadeite bead.
The jadeite beads are natural Type A jadeite with a fresh hue of green. The minty green colour glows radiantly in the light because of the translucency of the jadeite. In some of the beads, light swirls of green that are more vivid can be observed with close inspection.
Clarity of the jadeite beads is exquisite and this can be observed in the photos taken. As a note, photos of the jade beads can be magnified and zoomed in on, when viewed on a desktop or laptop. The jadeite beads are clear of dark spots or dark inclusions.
Natural jadeite does not fade or diminish in colour with time, creating timeless jadeite jewellery that can be worn and kept forever. Strung with a single 18K white gold clasp, decorated with natural diamonds, this green jadeite necklace measures about 18 inches, a classic length popular with pearl necklaces. The gold clasp can be opened and worn with compatible pendants (shown in photos 7 and 8).
