This pair of jadeite earrings features 2 highly translucent jadeite gourds intricately set with 18K black gold. The jadeite carvings are beautifully life-like and are both carved in unique shapes mimicking natural gourd fruits. The earring studs are designed in the shape of branches with bright green leaves, adorned with tsavorites, decorating the earrings with lively sparkles of green.
Both pieces of jadeite gourds are highly translucent with a glassy lustre. Each individual carving has a slightly different hue of green, highlighting the natural design of this pair of earrings.
In traditional Chinese culture, gourd carvings are auspicious symbols and are often used as wards against negative energies and misfortunes. Also symbolising happiness and wealth, jadeite gourd carvings are auspicious and beautiful to wear. Both jadeite carvings are intricately carved with well-rounded shapes that emphasise the quality and icy translucency of the jadeite.
