Colourless with very faint tints of green, this pair of jadeite earrings is carved from a highly translucent jadeite material that gives the jadeite carvings an icy, pristine appearance.
The 2 jadeite pieces in this pair of earrings are carved in the shape of gourds. In traditional Chinese culture, gourd carvings are auspicious symbols and are often used as wards against negative energies and misfortunes. Also symbolising happiness and wealth, jadeite gourd carvings are auspicious and beautiful to wear. This particular carving has a well-rounded shape which emphasises the quality and icy translucency of the jadeite.
This pair of jadeite earrings is crafted with 18K white gold and natural diamonds. In a unique design, both sides of this dangling earrings can also be worn as a pendant (photos 6 and 7).
As a note, the gold necklace featured in the photographs is not included.
The main photos were taken in natural lighting and the last 2 photos were taken with indoor lighting to showcase the jadeite in different types of lighting. This helps to provide a good view of how the jade jewellery looks like under different lighting conditions to provide as accurate a representation as possible of our jade pieces.
