Icy Jade Pendant - Crab Claw (NJP033)
Icy Jade Pendant - Crab Claw (NJP033)
Description
This dainty jade pendant is carved intricately as a crab claw. The jadeite used in the pendant carving is an icy material with bluish-green specks dispersed within the translucent jadeite body. The high translucency makes the bluish-green specks appear to be seemingly floating about in the glossy jadeite crab claw.
Crab claw carvings have an interesting meaning. Crabs crawl sideways, 横行 in Chinese. The pincer is also its 'hand' in other word, which translates to 手. Hence in Fengshui practices, a crab claw carving symbolises 横财就手 or directly translated as to claw wealth and windfall to its wearer. This symbolism of the crab claw makes these jade carvings popular amongst businessmen or any persons simply looking for better fortunes and wealth.
Completely natural and Type A, the jadeite crab claw is set with 18K white gold complementing the icy appearance of the colourless jadeite. The pendant hook is fixed and will not shift about when worn.
The main photos are taken in natural lighting and there are 2 additional photos taken with indoor lighting to showcase how the jade pendant will look like indoors.
