This is a Type A jadeite ring with a highly translucent jadeite centrepiece. The design of this ring highlights the carved jadeite centrepiece with its lightly carved shape of a gourd fruit. The glistening gourd carving is set with a broad 18K white gold band with a delicate motif design.
The motifs that cover the entire surface of the gold band are in the shape of vines, a reference to the climbing tendrils that are characteristic of the gourd plant. Natural diamonds subtly decorate the ends of the white gold tendrils, adding tiny flashes of light to the jadeite ring.
The jadeite centrepiece in this ring is completely colourless with high translucency. This combination gives an icy appearance to the jadeite. Clarity in this icy jadeite carving is also exquisite with no visible inclusions. The jadeite carving has a rounded dome shape and because of its size and clarity, the shimmery glow exhibited by this icy jadeite is especially striking and pristine.
