This natural jadeite ring features an abstract icy jadeite carving with a smooth and flowing shape. The jadeite carving is highly polished with a wavy, bevelled surface. The wavy appearance is created by tiny crests and troughs on the surface of the jadeite and because of the jadeite's translucency and fine crystal aggregates, the jadeite ring glistens beautifully in light with its unique and abstract form.
The Type A jadeite is colourless with a light tinge of green and takes on an icy, frosty appearance due to faint cotton-like inclusions in the body of the jadeite. The entire jadeite has good translucency and a highly dense crystal aggregate structure. This combination of qualities gives the jadeite a watery, aqueous appearance which is a feature that is highly sought after in fine jadeite.
