This pair of carved jadeite earrings features intricate motif carvings that cover the entire surface of the teardrop shaped jadeites. The jadeite pair is carved from fine Type A jadeite with subtle hints of lavender and green on a mostly icy white jadeite material.
Fine texture of the jadeite material results in a highly polished surface. Intricacy in this pair of carved jadeite earrings can be observed from the fine polish on every single surface of the carvings. Polishing such small surfaces in carvings can only be performed by hand and this in itself, is a good indication of the level of workmanship present. Another detail to note is that both surfaces of the earrings are carved and polished to a high gloss, allowing the translucency of the jadeite material to be elegantly displayed from all angles.
