Hu Lu 葫芦 carvings are often featured in fine jadeite jewellery, symbolising abundance, health, longevity, and wealth. In this Type A jadeite pendant, the classic jadeite carving is crafted from an icy, colourless jadeite.
The well-proportioned dome shape of the jadeite carving encapsulates its symbolic meaning of abundance while also enhancing the icy appearance of the high translucency of the jadeite. Adding to the contemporary look of the icy jadeite pendant are swirls of natural dark green that can be observed "floating" within the jadeite carving. Given the translucency of the jadeite, these swirls have a 3-dimensional appearance to them and give a uniquely elegant touch to the otherwise colourless jadeite pendant.
This pendant is set with an 18K white gold bail encrusted in natural, sparkling diamonds.
