Bright yellow is a rarely seen colour in natural jadeite and even more so when found in translucent cabochons. The bright hue of yellow displayed in this spectacular jadeite ring is vivid and highly saturated. In jadeite, this bright colour is sometimes referred to as “lemon jade” because of the similar pure yellow hue displayed.
The beauty of this rare jadeite colour is greatly enhanced by a high translucency of the jadeite material. In this bright yellow jadeite, the translucency adds a glowing appearance to the jadeite cabochon and literally looks like a glowing bulb on one’s finger. Colour consistency is also notable in this yellow jadeite cabochon. The entire cabochon has an even saturation and there are no eye-visible inclusions that can be observed.
This Type A jadeite ring is set in 18K white gold and decorated with natural diamonds.
