In this product listing, there are 2 pairs of loose jadeite cabochons which have not been set into jadeite jewellery. Both pairs of jadeite pieces are carved in a proportionate "double cabochon" shape that helps increase the amount of light return from within the jadeite cabochon.
The 2 pairs of jadeite cabochons are both highly translucent with very good clarity. Cut from different jadeite roughs, each pair of jadeites showcases a different colour. One pair is completely colourless while the other pair has a refreshing tint of green. The colourless pair of jadeite cabochons is almost transparent and in trade, this level of translucency is typically referred to as "glassy" and termed as glassy jadeite.
Apart from its translucency, the jadeite cabochons also have fine crystal aggregates, resulting in an extremely high polish with a shimmery glow in the jadeite cabochons. Set into jadeite earrings, these 2 pairs of jadeite cabochons will exhibit a natural glow that emanates from within the dome shaped jadeite, even in dimmer lighting conditions.
