This exquisite Type A jade cabochon ring has a lavender hue with a more saturated violet colour. The jadeite material is highly translucent with very fine crystal aggregates. This helps with the resulting polish on the cabochon which is high in lustre and has a watery gloss.
The high translucency and fine texture of the jadeite material are qualities rarely present in jadeite materials with higher colour saturations. At 15mm, the cabochon is also a good large sized cabochon with very good thickness which helps give the jade cabochon a pleasant dome shape. Given its size, fine quality and high clarity, this lavender cabochon is a rare find for any avid jade enthusiast.
