The centrepiece in this lavender jade ring is a jadeite carving of the Chinese mythical creature, 貔貅, pronounced as "pixiu". In mythical lores, this creature is said to be able to attract and store wealth. With this unique ability, carvings of "pixiu" are often used in Feng Shui for drawing in wealth while also dispelling negative Feng Shui.
This "pixiu" is carved out of natural jadeite with a highly saturated lavender hue. This lavender colour has a cool tone given its slightly bluish tint. At the corner of the carving, on the left leg of the "pixiu" is a patch of bluish-green colour, creating a colour contrast to the even lavender hue. Intricately carved, this jadeite carving makes perfect use of its size to create a proportionate "pixiu" carving with fine details. Clean and translucent, the jadeite carving has a lustrous finish, complementing the soothing lavender colour.
