Pair of lavender jadeite cabochons perfectly matched and set into a pair of earrings. Lavender jadeite is usually found in less intense hues and for pieces that have good colour, the lustre of the jadeite usually pales in comparison. Thus, to find a matching pair of cabochons with intense lavender hues and good lustre is quite difficult.
This pair has a very beautiful lavender hue without blue tones and decent translucency to create the lustre seen in the photos. In various lighting, the lavender hue does not change much and maintains an intense lavender even in shaded conditions.
From experience, lavender is the hardest and trickiest colour to photograph. Using modern cameras with automatic colour temperature optimisation, lavender jadeite can often be photographed in colour intensities that are far more saturated than the actual jadeite. Random photo taking will render normal lavender jadeite into beautiful investment pieces. Taking this into consideration, the photos of our lavender jadeite pieces are taken with even more care to ensure that the actual jadeite colours are as close to the photos as possible without the use of any colour enhancement tools.
