This natural jadeite pendant is carved in a "barrel" shape with a cylindrical body that has a hole running through its center. This "barrel" shape is commonly referred to as the 路路通 carving or Lu Lu Tong in pinyin. Symbolically, this carving, with its hollow barrel shape, signifies a clear and unblocked path devoid of obstacles. The Chinese words 路路通 also directly translate to unobstructed paths, at every turn. The surface of the lavender jadeite pendant are also carved with motifs of Ru Yi (如意) "clouds". Ru Yi in Chinese literally means "as desired" and this adds an auspicious meaning of allowing its wearer to achieve one's wishes.
Carved from a lavender jadeite block, this "barrel" pendant showcases a bright hue of lavender with a lovely touch of pink. In lavender jadeite, the colour can appear vastly different dependent on the bluish or reddish hues that accompany the lavender colour. The lavender hue in this carved pendant has a stronger pinkish colour which gives the jadeite a soothing, rosy appearance.
This lavender jadeite pendant is finished in 18K white gold with natural diamonds. The main product photos are taken in natural lighting and showcase how the lavender hue remains highly saturated in natural daylight. The lavender colour does not diminish or carry any grey tones in stronger sunlight. The last 2 photos are taken indoors in realistic indoor lighting.
