This is a Type A lavender jade ring set with 18K white gold and natural diamonds. The main lavender jade centrepiece is flanked by 2 small vivid green Type A jade cabochons. The contrasting colours give the ring a refreshing look.
The lavender jade on this ring is rectangular shaped with rounded ends. The surface of the jade has a rounded dome shape which is similar to cabochons. The only difference is the straight sides of the jade. The modified oval jade piece is a beautiful shade of lavender. The lavender hue is deep and saturated. For an intensely coloured jade, the translucency of the jade material is also very good with high lustre. This combination is not commonly found in jadeite. Saturated colours are usually found in relatively "dry" jadeite. The watery gleam on this ring is due to the smooth texture of the jadeite material. Observing the material up close, the lavender hue is evenly saturated and no visible crystals can be seen in the jadeite material.
