Carved in the shape of four-leaf clovers, this pair of earrings symbolises good luck and is crafted from fine quality natural omphacite jadeite. Clovers are naturally found with 3 leaves and it is rare to find 4-leaf clovers. When found, natural 4-leaf clovers are traditionally kept as good luck charms and it is with this reason that this unique leaf shape has been adopted as a symbol for good luck.
The jet black colour in this pair of jade earrings derives from the omphacite jade used. Pure black when viewed under normal lighting conditions, these natural omphacite carvings showcase a green colour when shone with direct light (photo 8). Quality and translucency of the omphacite carvings can be observed from the even and consistent green hue.
These omphacite clover carvings are set in 18K yellow gold with an intricate milgrain edge around each 4-leaf clover. The warm, yellow gold complements the modern design of the jet black omphacite with a touch of vintage flair.
