This is a pair of stunning orangey red jadeite cabochon earrings. The jadeite cabochons display a bright orangey red in natural lighting and under indoor lighting, they lose some of the orange hue and become purer in red. The orangey red hue is very similar to the Fanta colours found in gemstones. In jadeite, such intense hues of orangey red are less common and even rarer in cabochons of such lustre and translucency.
Zooming in on the jadeite material of the 2 cabochons, the fine texture of the jadeite material can be noted. It is hard to see any crystals within the jadeite. Translucency is very high in this pair of jadeite cabochons and in certain angles, the lustre gives the jade earrings an almost watery look.
