This jadeite pendant is shaped like a Ruyi 如意 with a locket design. The bright yellow jadeite cabochon is set squarely in its center. Ru Yi 如意 in Chinese literally means "as desired". Worn as a pendant, it carries an auspicious symbolism of granting its wearer good fortune and the ability to achieve one's wishes.
Finished in 18K white gold, this jadeite pendant is designed to be worn with a gold necklace and also has an additional attachment to be worn with jadeite beads necklaces (photo 6). The pure yellow hue of the jadeite cabochon easily adds a bright and cheerful splash of colour to any outfit.
