This jade ring features a Type A jadeite centrepiece with an interesting carving. The jadeite is carved in the shape of a lotus flower with a single butterfly resting upon the flower's petals.
The intricate carving cleverly makes use of the different colours present naturally in the jadeite rough, producing a lotus flower carved in white jadeite while the butterfly is carved in a bright orange hued jadeite. The flower and the butterfly carving are both carved from a single jadeite rough, a showcase of the beautiful colours of natural jadeite and the skilful workmanship required.
