Jadeite pieces are carved from natural jadeite rough and in larger jade jewellery like this jadeite bangle, distinct gradients of colour display unique patterns which are literally works of art formed by nature.
In this jadeite bangle, stark contrasts of dark, inky black and icy, colourless jadeite are distributed throughout the whole bangle. The areas of colourless jadeite are highly translucent with very fine grained crystals creating an icy, shimmery appearance with swirling black patterns.
This Type A jadeite bangle has a slim profile and is carved with a fully cylindrical cross-section. Because of the profile and shape of the bangle, it wears easily and can be put on and taken off more easily, relative to traditionally broader sized jadeite bangles.
